About the Workshop
The AAAE Industrial Aviation and Military Operations Workshop unites military leaders, federal officials, industry colleagues, and other aviation professionals at the only training workshop created to discuss the latest regulations, technologies, and issues concerning military/civilian airfield operations and the growing area of industrial aviation.
Among the highlights featured at the workshop is a session discussing the role civilian airports play in supporting industrial aviation activity including maintenance, repair and overhaul, paint and interior completion, aircraft assembly, fabrication and manufacturing, and the work being done with the federal agencies to create a special classification for this activity. A session with government officials will provide the opportunity for participants to interact on topics such as planning, financial issues, and the environment. Military and civilian leaders will be on hand to provide updates on joint-use issues and civilian partnerships, and a session on military transition training will present options and information for military personnel who wish to move to the commercial aviation sector.
Registration fees include all handouts, the welcome reception, Thursday evening reception, two continental breakfasts, one lunch, all breaks, and the onsite tour (including transportation). Dress is business casual. *MILITARY ATTENDEES: Attire for this Workshop is UOD during the day. Appropriate civilian clothing is acceptable for evening events.
