The purpose of the Accreditation Program writing requirement is to demonstrate to the Board of Examiners (BOE) that executive candidates can write effectively on a topic relevant and significant to airport management. Two options for completing the Accreditation program writing requirement are the Management Paper and Case Study. This workshop was developed to assist candidates with the paper writing process and help them understand what the BOE defines as a successful paper.
The A.A.E. designation commands respect as the gold standard among airport executives. Since 1954, AAAE has been committed to the advancement of aviation professionals by granting the A.A.E. designation to those who have demonstrated their ability to handle the responsibilities of airport management. Components of this program are offered as Offered as Self-Study, Live Virtual Training, On Demand and Live Classroom Training.
Advanced Schools are tailored for individuals who have either attended an earlier ASOS school, experienced one or more annual FAA Certification Inspections or have at least two years of experience in airport operations. The school has fewer prepared presentations, and more group Part 139 problem-solving exercises so that all attendees can actively participate in the proceedings. Participants are encouraged to discuss best management practices and lessons learned at their airports or from other experiences.
Airport 101 is tailored to new airport professionals and incoming public officials to enhance the individual’s understanding of the aviation story, industry leaders, airport management issues, current challenges faced by industry leaders and strategies for implementing sensible strategic plans or goals. It is designed to present new airport board members or commissioners, senior and mid-level airport executives, and entry level with a substantive and thoughtful review of the airport industry. Becoming a Certified Member (C.M.) is a great way to show employers your dedication to your airport career. The program is open to AAAE and IAAE members. This one-day On-Site training is focused on teaching employees in the airport/airline industry how to spot and report human trafficking victims. Key elements of the training course include; a background and overview on human trafficking; how to recognize human trafficking indicators; protocol for reporting “tips” to law enforcement; and resources for support.
