Airport Certified Employee (ACE) SMS is the most complete industry certification program designed to prepare participants for understanding Safety Management Systems as well as designing, planning, implementing, and maturing safety at an airport. The course material draws on decades of experience implementing SMS in a variety of industries and applies that experience to the unique world of airport operations.

Advanced Schools are tailored for individuals who have either attended an earlier ASOS school, experienced one or more annual FAA Certification Inspections or have at least two years of experience in airport operations. The school has fewer prepared presentations, and more group Part 139 problem-solving exercises so that all attendees can actively participate in the proceedings. Participants are encouraged to discuss best management practices and lessons learned at their airports or from other experiences.

As robust as air transportation is, the airport is also a fragile ecosystem that can be halted at a moment's notice due to a variety of events including a global pandemic like COVID-19, threats, accidents or emergencies. As such, aviation workers at all levels must prepare mentally in advance of a situation that may have a traumatic and long-term adverse effect on them and others.

The ACE Airport Security Training Course is now offered virtually and provides a comprehensive review of the ACE Security 2022 modules in preparation for the 100 multiple choice examination on the last day of the course. The content of the body of knowledge contains a blend of U.S. and international regulatory advisory information that is intended to establish a baseline of aviation security knowledge for professionals working in this dynamic environment. This course includes a multiple choice final exam that must be passed with a 70% or higher in order to receive the ACE designation certification. This course meets CFR 49 Part 1542.3 (Airport Security Coordinator) and individuals who attend this review course will also receive the Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) certificate.

This course is designed for airport professionals and public officials to enhance their understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS) and its application in emergency response. It briefly covers the fundamentals of ICS, including NIMS and SEMS components, but primarily focuses on the management of complex incidents. Participants will engage in scenario-based activities to develop and implement objectives for various incidents such as suspicious packages, active shooters, and hijacks. The course also addresses initial response strategies, recovery processes, and the importance of effective communication and coordination. This comprehensive course provides valuable insights and practical skills for managing emergencies, making it ideal for both new and experienced airport personnel

A Part 139-based curriculum designed to educate and challenge airport personnel with airfield operations responsibilities or anyone interested in a related career.

This curriculum is designed to provide Airport Operators guidance to implement a well-rounded approach to their winter operations training needs. The information contained within this course reflects the current FAA Advisory Circulars pertaining to (AC) 150/5210-20 Ground Vehicle Operations on Airports, AC 150/5200-30 Airport Winter Safety and Operations, AC 150/5220-20 Airport Snow and Ice Control Equipment, FAA FAR part 139 Certification of Airports, and actual Airport Snow and Ice Control Plans.

This training is designed for airport board members, commissioners, and airport executives. It will cover key topics essential for effective orientation and training, including the roles and responsibilities of board members, their level of authority, and expectations regarding meetings and member conduct (parliamentary procedures and open meetings laws). Additionally, the session will delve into the unique aspects of the airport industry. To support the development and implementation of comprehensive airport board orientation and training, a collection of crucial documents and information will be provided.

This course is tailored for new airport professionals and incoming public officials to enhance the individual’s understanding of the aviation story, industry leaders, airport management issues, current challenges faced by industry leaders and strategies for implementing sensible strategic plans or goals. It is designed to present new airport board members or commissioners, senior and mid-level airport executives, and entry level with a substantive and thoughtful review of the airport industry. This course also gives a capstone summary of the airport management environment from A-Z.

This course provides both operations and security personnel the necessary information and perspectives on the basics of securing a public-use airport.

This course provides a basic understanding of the principles and techniques of escort operations with a primary focus on the impact to airport operations. Attendees will gain an understanding of basic escort operation principles and methodologies, how to integrate escorts into the airport security environment based on threat level, and best practices for how to mitigate the impact to airport operations.
